Originally from Missouri, I now live in Morgantown, WV with my wife Kris. We have three children: Johnathan, Sarah, and Matthew. I am an environmental health scientist with a background in industrial hygiene and Occupational / Environmental Health through studies at the University of Central Missouri and the University of Iowa. Following 30 years of service in the United States Public Health Service, I now spend my time working as a photographer & artist.
I have been practicing watercolor painting and photography for over 30 years. Initially, photography was used mainly as an aid for watercolor painting; however, it has come to be a major focus of my art with an emphasis on nature and landscapes. I also enjoy other forms of photography including architectural, travel, sports and wildlife photography plus painting & digital painting from my photographs.
Photography has taken me to some truly amazing places and provided much enjoyment observing and photographing the natural beauty of our World. I hope to share this with you through the images on my website.
